Hello everyone,
After some consideration and looking into it, I've decided that it would be a good idea for the Popular Wiki to have a french sub-wiki. As far as I am aware, Chilly has began a project where we put out French versions of the most popular wiki pages, and I think it's a great idea - so great, in fact, that I think we should have an entire French version of the wiki. Of course, I won't do this unless everyone agrees to it, so that's why I'm writing this blog post. Here I will answer any questions you may have about LPS: Popular Wiki France (its working title); and I welcome all opinions or remaining queries to be left in the comments section!
So what exactly is LPS: Popular Wiki France?
LPS: Popular Wiki France is exactly what the name states: a French version of the LPS: Popular Wiki, with all the articles in French instead of English. It will have the same look and design of this wiki, but it will be in French!
Why bother making a French version of the wiki?
As Sophie has said on multiple occasions, she is bilingual, and many of her videos have French subtitles. A large portion of her audience is also French-speaking, so I feel it would be beneficial to have another wiki in French that allows her French audience to write about and discuss Popular too.
Who will edit on this wiki?
Anyone who wants to! If you speak French, this is the wiki for you!
Is the English wiki still going to be active?
Of course! The English wiki will always be the main LPS: Popular Wiki, the French one is simply a smaller one in a different language.
Do I have to edit on the French wiki if I don't want to?
Absolutely not! If you would prefer to edit on the English wiki, that's totally fine! I know I will be spending most of my time on the English wiki too, so don't worry. I'm not forcing anyone to edit there! :)
What will the domain name be?
You aren't leaving the English wiki to work on the French one, are you?
No way! I will always spend most of my time here. Remember, the French wiki isn't a replacement wiki, it's simply a smaller wiki for French-speaking LPS: Popular fans!
